PE and Sport Premium

PE and Sports Premium is funding  provided by the Government to allow schools to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE sport and physical activity provision offered. Schools receive PE and Sport Premium funding based on the number of pupils they have in Years 1 to 6.

Ensuring students have sufficient daily exercise has numerous benefits for their physical health and wellbeing, as well as having wider benefits, such as improved behaviour and enhancing academic achievement. All children should have equal access to high-quality PE provision and opportunities to experience and participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities. Schools should use the PE and Sport Premium funding to help achieve these aims.

The funding is to be used to:

  • Build capacity and capability in the school to ensure that improvements made to the quality of PE, sport and physical activity provision now are sustainable and will benefit pupils joining the school in future.
  • Develop or add to the PE, sport and physical activity that we provide.

The report below details how the school has spent its PE and Sport Premium funding allocation for 2024/25.
