    Year 4 Robotics Workshop

    Published 06/11/24

The Year 4 classes took part in an exciting robotics workshop, tied into their study of Ted Hughes' classic story, "The Iron Man." The pupils explored the themes of creativity and problem-solving, as they built their own robots using LEGO. With the help of iPads, they programmed their creations to mimic the Iron Man’s movements and interactions. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their understanding of the story, but also sparked their interest in engineering and technology. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for Year 4 to connect literature with technology in an engaging way, inspiring our young learners to think critically and work collaboratively.

  • New Catering Providers

    Published 17/09/24

ABM Catering are the school's new catering providers. Their new menus have been launched this term and the children have been enjoying the variety.

Meals are planned to meet nutritional standards, whilst taking account of the children’s likes and dislikes.  There is a different main course served each day of the week, with a vegetarian or pasta option, or a jacket potato, served with a choice of fillings. The menus rotate on a three-weekly basis.

The roast dinner option each Wednesday is proving a really popular choice for the children, along with homemade chicken curry and the BBQ vegetable and bean wrap.  Homemade shortbread, jam sponge with custard and 'Fruity Friday' have proved to be really popular desserts.
